If you purchased your lock at hardware store or discount store,
it probably cannot be rekeyed. If this is the case, your only option will be to replace it with another lock. However, most good quality brand-name padlocks
can be rekeyed. This is usually less expensive than replacing it. If you don’t know if your padlock can be rekeyed, you can bring it by
the shop for an
assessment, or gather any brand names and model numbers from the lock and contact us or a
locksmith in your area.
Busse's and most full-service locksmith can also supply padlocks with
restricted keys. This can ward off future costs of repeated
rekeying or replacement locks. |
