You need to have the affected
locks rekeyed. You can accomplish this either by removing them and
bringing them into our shop, or you can schedule a service call. It will
save us some extra work, and therefore save you a few bucks, if you have a
working key available when the locks are ready to be serviced. If you prefer
to schedule a service call, have the following information ready when you
call:
1) The brand of the
locks OR a working key in hand. We will ask you to read any names, numbers or letters off your key to determine
the type of locks you have. If no working key is
available, tell the locksmith. This fact will affect both their
cost estimate and the amount of time they allot for the
technician to complete the project.
2) The number of
cylinders that require service. Each keyhole counts as a cylinder;
a double-sided deadbolt counts as two cylinders. A
typical door has anywhere from one to three cylinders.
3) In order to schedule
a service call, you will need to know your exact street address.
If you’d
like for this rekeying service call to be your last, ask the
locksmith about
restricted key systems. |
