I have lost the only key to a piece of office furniture.

What should I do?

Look closely at the face of the lock.  If there is a series of letters and/or numbers stamped into the face of the lock (near the keyhole), the locksmith may be able to generate a key from code without ever seeing the lock!  Read the numbers carefully (accuracy counts!), and also check the furniture and lock for any brand-name information.  With this information in hand, contact us or a locksmith in your area.  If there are no such characters stamped in the face of the lock, the locksmith will need the lock in order to proceed.  If the furniture is open, you may be able to remove the lock (or perhaps the drawer) to take it to the shop.  If the furniture is locked shut or you don’t want to remove the lock, you will need a service call.  Gather as much information about the brand and type of furniture as you can, then contact us or a locksmith in you area.
