I have lost the
last key to one or more doors at my home or business.
What should I do? |

You
need to have all the affected locks
rekeyed. If you are not locked
out and are confident of your ability to remove and replace the locksets from
the doors, you can bring them all in to the shop. Otherwise, you will need a
service call. Be sure to tell the locksmith that the current keys are not
available and whether you are locked out of the affected room(s). It also
helps if you have an accurate count of the number of
cylinders that
are in need of service. Also, the locksmith will need to know your exact
location. If you are locked out, you must be prepared to provide proof of
occupancy. This might be (for example) a lease or utility bill along with
your ID. |
