I have lost the
last key to my Vehicle. What should I do? |
|
The
process for fitting keys to vehicles
varies widely depending on the specific year, make and model of the vehicle,
and whether all the locks on the vehicle are the original ones. In some
cases, you can avoid a service call by removing one or more locks from the
vehicle and taking it to the locksmith shop. In other cases, you can
get keys or key codes from
the dealer. Often however, the only solution is a service call. You will
need to contact us or a
locksmith in
your area
for a specific recommendation. Have the following information ready when
you call: the exact year (i.e. 1997), make (i.e. Buick) and
model (i.e. Park Avenue). Also, you need to be able to tell the
locksmith whether the car is locked or unlocked, and the exact
location of the vehicle. If you report to the dealer for keys or a code or
request a service call, be prepared to show your drivers license and the
vehicle title or registration. Professional locksmiths and dealers will only
release vehicle keys to the registered owner of the vehicle! |
