Professional
locksmiths can make sure that you get the right product, properly installed,
at a fair price. We can even key the new locks to match your existing keys
if you like! Before you contact us
or a
locksmith in your area, try to compile the following information.
1) How many doors
need to have locks added?
2) What color/style hardware would you like?
Do you need levers for ADA compliance?
3) What is going to be the purpose of the
room(s) that you need secured? Locksmiths can supply locks with dozens of
different functions and features. We can make sure that you get the
right one!
4) What type of doors do you have? Are they
solid wood? Metal? Do they have glass panes? If the door has “panels”
measure how wide the solid portion of the door is.
5) What other hardware is on the door now?
Have your existing keys in hand when you call. If you’d like the new
locks and your existing ones keyed to match, we’ll need to now what you
already have.
6) You must know the exact street address in
order to schedule a service call.
7) If you lease your property, check your
lease to be sure that you are entitled to hire a locksmith without consulting
management. (If the property manager maintains a
master key system
for your building, you may be required to use their locksmith!)
If the locksmith seems to be playing 20
questions, be patient. We only want to match you with just the right product
(there are thousands to choose from!). We’d also like to conserve your time
and ours by showing up with the right materials the first time! |
